Led by a passionate and caring Death Doula, this course will empower you to make informed decisions, ease the burden on your loved ones, and reclaim control over your own journey.

- Funerary Care and Body Disposition: Understand your options for the final resting place of your physical form, and how cultural beliefs may shape this choice.

- Understanding Death: Reflect on your understanding of death and its impact on your perspective.
- Legacy Work and Will Making: Learn about legacy work and explore options for creating a will to ensure your wishes are honored.
- Advanced Care Directives: Navigate the complexities of end-of-life medical care by creating advanced care directives.
- Empowering Yourself: Break free from the unknown. Empower yourself to take control and make informed decisions.
- Busting Myths and Answering Hard Questions: Confront common misconceptions and get answers to challenging questions surrounding death.
- Planning and Preparing Sessions: Practical sessions to help you plan and prepare, ensuring peace of mind for yourself and your loved ones.
- Death Positive Atmosphere: Embrace a relaxed and "death positive" environment, fostering open discussion, self-reflection, and community support.
- Field Trip: If available, you may get to visit a funeral home for a comprehensive behind-the-scenes understanding.

This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy, numeracy and wellbeing needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
