Policy
Withdrawals, Transfers, and Refunds:
To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us at least 14 days before the course start date. Refunds or transfers requested within this timeframe will be considered, minus a $25.00 administrative fee. Refunds or transfers will not be considered after this 14-day period.
Please note:
1. Your place in the course is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
2. If the course is cancelled due to insufficient enrolment, a full refund will be issued.
3. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for personal health reasons or changes in personal circumstances. However, if a class is postponed, a makeup session will be arranged.
4. No refunds or transfers will be issued after the course has commenced.
5. All refund applications must be submitted in writing within the same calendar year as the original course. Credits cannot be carried over to the following year.

Enrolment Requirements:
These courses are funded by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to support students’ literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing needs. Attendance of at least 80% of classes is required. We also aim to help you gain valuable, practical skills while enjoying your learning experience.
As part of your enrolment, we are required to verify your ID (birth certificate, driver’s licence, or passport) on or before the first night of class. You can save time by emailing a copy or photo of your ID in advance. This verification is a Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) requirement to ensure continued funding.
Your personal details will not be shared with TEC.
The government’s priorities for Adult and Community Education (ACE) are to encourage new learners particularly Māori, Pacific peoples, and those who feel their initial education was not successful to re-engage with learning and improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
1. The minimum age requirement for enrolment is 16 years old.
2. Enrolled students aged 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact the office to enquire about a support person enrolment.
3. No children are to accompany enrolled parents at any time. Please make alternative arrangements before attending class.
4. Home-schooled or alternative education students aged 15 years are encouraged to contact us directly at [email protected], as limited exceptions may be considered.
