If you are completely new to sewing or need a refresh, this class is for you!
Learn at your own pace in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that will start you at the absolute basics and help you gain skills and confidence to be able to tackle your own individual projects.
The first few lessons will take you through the basics of threading up a machine, sewing samples, and a couple of great small first-step projects to bring all those skills together. Everything for these projects will be provided.
From there, you will move on to creating your first garment - Pyjamas! (A pattern for you to use in class will be provided). You will learn how to select the appropriate fabric, where to purchase it, how to use a pattern, and how to follow pattern instructions.
You are welcome to bring in your sewing machine if you would like to sew with that or there are plenty available to use in the classroom.
Equipment needed:
Everything for the first few weeks will be provided. Once we move onto making the pyjamas you will need to purchase your fabric and trims (all the information for this will be provided in the first few classes).
