FUN WITH FLOWERS 

A 6-Week Floral course

Have you always wanted to learn more about flowers and flower arranging? Or perhaps you're considering a career in floristry but aren't sure where to start?

Join Marie, owner of Florist Ilene and a Senior Florist with over 25 years of experience, for a fun and relaxed 6-week introduction to the wonderful world of floristry. Each 2-hour class is designed to teach you the basics, share helpful florist tips, and build your confidence working with flowers.

 Whether you simply love flowers and want to create beautiful designs at home, or you're curious about starting a career in the floral industry, this is a great place to begin!

Over the six weeks, we'll explore the fundamentals of floristry and create a range of beautiful floral designs. 

You'll learn about:

•     Choosing and caring for flowers and foliage

•     Basic floristry tools and techniques

•     Flower conditioning and preparation

•     Basic floral designs and arranging techniques

•     Colour, texture, shape and balance

•      How to create beautiful arrangements with confidence

The classes are designed to be hands-on, practical and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunity to create your own floral designs and take your creations home.

Materials to Bring

Please bring the following materials with you:

• Snips

• Scissors

• Floristry wire

• Parafilm

• Pot tape

• A towel

• Flowers and foliage

And, of course, your enthusiasm and a love of flowers!
